Tri-Hospital
EMS employees are encouraged to maintain the
highest standards in patient care. We offer
free continuing education and various professional
courses for those wishing to advance in licensure.
Tri-Hospital EMS Education also offers courses
such as PHTLS, ACLS, PEPP, PALS, and NALS
for those seeking more of a challenge. Opportunities
in our Education Department are also available
for those who wish to become instructors.
For those beginning a career in EMS, Tri-Hospital
EMS offers entry level positions with out
Assisted Transport Division. We also have
opportunities available for all levels of
licensure in our Health Care Answering Service.

Personnel are assigned
to one of our seven furnished stations. Our stations
are equipped with all the comforts of home: Air
conditioning, kitchens, sleeping quarters, cable
television and shower facilities.
Our well maintained vehicles with modern equipment
allow your focus to be on patient care. |
| Full-time employees
work 24 hour shifts (56 & 60 hour work
week), averaging less than eleven days a month.
Part-time and permanent part-time positions
offer 10, 12, and 24 hours shifts. Employees
are rotated through all of the stations offering
a diversity of calls in both the urban and
rural settings. Local fire departments provide
First Responder Services in the majority of
our service area, providing an excellent team
approach to patient care. |

|
| Wage scales
are re-evaluated frequently and remain consistently
in-line with industry standards. Annual raises are
based on merit/job performance and company performance.
Previous experience is taken into consideration
when determining starting wages. |

| The Employee
Assistance Program provides employees and their
household members free, confidential assistance
to help with job performance problems or personal
issues (marital/family, emotional issues, substance
abuse, legal/financial, job related). Simply call
the Employee Assistance Program number and an appointment
will be scheduled. You will talk with a counselor
confidentially about your concerns. |

| The first
sessions are free. If the EAP professional feels
long-term treatment is necessary, referrals will
be recommended where your group health insurance
may be accessed. Periodic reports are given to the
employer regarding the number of employees using
the program. Absolutely no names are included. All
of the EAP counselors possess a Master’s Degree
in the social science field. |
