BLS Instructor Course

The BLS Instructor Essentials Course is designed to prepare instructor candidates  to teach AHA Instructor-led and blended learning BLS Provider courses. It educates instructor candidates on how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. The course covers core content and discipline-specific content required to teach AHA courses.

After completing the online portion of this course, you must complete the hands-on session scheduled for January 3rd, 2023 at Tri-Hospital EMS Education Center to obtain a course completion card.

As an AHA BLS Instructor you will be able to teach the following classes:
– BLS Provider
– Heartsaver CPR/AED
– Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED
– HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
– Heartsaver for K-12 Schools
– Heartsaver First Aid Only
– Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

Pre-requisites: The student taking this course MUST have a valid AHA BLS Provider card

Course cost is $400.00/person and includes:
-BLS Instructor Essentials Online Program
-BLS Instructor Manual; Student Manual
-Hands on Session
-Monitoring Session
-BLS Instructor eCard once all monitoring is complete
